You are TOTALLY overstating what happened. This is NO BIG Republican comeback. Look up the definition of reporting versus rumor mongering.

No more overstated than the claims that the GOP is dead.

2 governors won an election because of local state issues according to every exit poll...no more, no less...this has nothing to do with Obama and/or his adminstration. Of course the GOP is going to try to spin this...what else have they got?

I'll tell ya what they got. They got two Governorships in two states that Obama carried. Did the republicans "win" those states?? That's a frame of mind. What really did it is that people,, all people, are pissed off. This congress and Obama are going to continue losing jobs until there are no more to lose. And then they'll have the cahonies to say YEAAAAAAA we fixed it. Schittt!!!!!!!!!

I agree that it's not big ear's fault. Hell he and biden spent almost a million dollars on fuel alone running back and forth trying to get that dipstick elected. So you can't blame him he was there many times. I got an idea let's blame Bush. If Bush hadn't screwed New Jersey up so bad Big Ears might have been able to straighten it all out. Yep that'll do it, Blame Bush.

Why is Michael Bloomburg in the picture? He was a life long Democrat, became a Republican only to run in NY and is now an Indie. Just askin? And on the Maine vote: why does the majority of any state have the right to deny civil rights to any citizen? Really, this has to go federal.

Moose mouth and Glen Beck lost. That is the only noose rthat should be reported.

Corzine lost because he was a lack luster governor who conducted a negative campaign to which people recoiled. The vote was more against Corzine then in favor of the democrat.

That election had nothing to do with Obama.

The local election has nothing to do with Obama, it's the news brain washing machine. People vote a republican mayor, not because the repub values, maybe they are just so tired of the gay issue and that's all.

I'm sorry but this is no reflection on the Obama white house agenda. these are governers who didnt live up to thier promise to the people that they made when they took office. its funny how the Republican party and the right wing media spin things. you dont hear all the hoopla when they talk about Owen winning in upstate NY or Garamendi winning in California. I find it amazing that the same people who complain about goverment take-overs and us as U.S citizens losing our inalienable rights are the same people who want to impose their way of life on people. what gives them the right to tell a woman she cant have an abortion or two people who are in love cannot have the same opportunities or rights if they dont fit the traditional mold of what someone else decided marraige should be. and for those right wingers claiming people dont want nationalized healthcare tell that to all the people lining up for the H1N1 shots. I guess the lines would be much shorter if you had to pay $500 for the shot and we wouldnt have a shortage right now. I mean after all its not your fault those people lost their jobs or cant afford health coverage. GO DEMS!!

mcmchugh99: This puts you in the same class as Rush Limbaugh, who wants Obama to fail.

Not the kind of company I would want to keep.

the GOP won indies by a 2-1 margin, thats what scares democrats the most.

0bama hugging Corzine on the campaign trail this week, putting the weight of the white houses coattails to work in NJ is spun as nothing, even though the polls had it anywhere from Corzine 1 to Christie 2 before 0bama went on the stump, yet Christie went on to win by 4.

What a huge come back.

This is analgous to making a first down in the 4th quarter when your team is down by 5 touchdowns.

I think every post on here was written by the brilliant "crymeariver". What a bunch of whining from all of you. The people of New Jersey are losing jobs and they are paying high taxes....so they voted out Corzine. Though I agree this isn't necessarily a referendum on Obama, it does show the inner workings of liberal policies and their ineffectiveness.

How does a loss by the democratic candidate in a state election show the inner workings of liberal policies and ineffectivess? Especially when the dem candidate is someone like Corzine.

I love it when Republicans become Governors. The Presidential candidate pool usually consists of Governors and Senators. Governing is much more reality based than being a Senator. Republican Presidents who come from the gubernatorial pool are more grounded in the reality of getting things done. Unfortunately, for Conservatives, this means both taxing and spending. (See Bush, Reagan, etc. -yes Reagan! check the facts.)
